The Society has a keen and vibrant membership and meets monthly in the evenings on the fourth Tuesday of the month, except December, in Blencogo Village Hall. As well as talks on a wide variety of gardening topics, the Society organises trips to various flower shows, garden hops (great for curious gardeners!!), social events and the Annual Spring Flower Show which is held in April. The Waver Wine Circle meets at Blencogo village hall on the second Wednesday of the month at 7.30pm. It is a club for people interested in home wine making and those interested in sampling both home made and commercial wines.
Meetings include talks on wine making, Brewery visits, wine tastings (both home made and commercial) and other social events. In addition to this the Wine Circle hold two competitions annually, a white wine competition in the spring and a red wine competition in the autumn.
